My goal is to create an emotional response with my "tonal landscapes."  The work implies recognizable places as I depart from simply copying nature to "suggested realism".  My sophisticated color palette and luminous glazes add to the peaceful and dreamy effect my work has on its viewers.  I begin each painting session with the hope of conveying the emotion I feel from nature.
