Stuart Shils Workshop in Sedona, Arizona

Hi all, I just returned from back-to-back workshops in Sedona, Arizona with Artist Stuart Shils. The workshops were fantastic with the focus on Emphasizing Abstraction in nature. I have been a great fan of Stuart's work for several years and really admire the way he sees shapes and forms in nature and creates a body of work that recreates nature in a fresh and interesting way.

We did a lot of sketching-with both right and left hands. We even did drawings with our eyes closed after viewing our scene and trying to imagine what we saw in our minds. All wonderful exercises that I will continue to practice. I am enthusiastic to see how my paintings will develop after Stuart's guidance.
